Arlena Irene Wanless was born 1 February 1865 in Dunmore, Pocahontas Co, VA and died 15 March 1890 in Pocahontas Co, WV.

She either died in childbirth or from loss of blood due to a head injury sustained when she tripped on a porch.

She married Robert Asbury Buzzard. He was the son of Sampson Sicafoose Buzzard and Eleanor "Ellen" Morrison Knapp.

Their children were:

Bessie Irene Buzzard (born 23 June 1887 in Dunmore, Pocahontas Co, WV); married Harmon Isaac Shinaberry
